Creo que esta debe ser de mis canciones favoritas, no es por la letra, ni por la música en conjunto, es básicamente por la melodia (sobre todo de los primeros) 30, 35 segundos… es magnífico como hay una melodia que se encuentra con otra que en cierta forma va “en contra”, casi se pueden ver las 2 melodías cruzandose y serpenteando, haciendo un zigzag entre ellas, atándose y desatandose mutuamente.
De verdad, hagan la prueba de escuchar la canción (sobre todo el comienzo y cuando entra la batería con la segunda (contra)melodía), como esas dos melodías se diferencian, se oponen pero se funden creando algo mágico.
Escuchenla tranquilos, alto y disfruten, pierdanse en ese piano!
Ayer llovía, iba caminando por la calle escuchando música (como casi siempre), y de golpe sonó una canción (que comparto a continuación) que casi se podría decir me invitó a quedarme parado 4 minutos mientras caia una leve llovizna, fue una sensación tan … tan … indescriptible, los sonidos de la música, en particular de esa canción, el olor a tierra mojada, y las gotitas callendo y mojandome … wow!

Me pareció increible el tono inocente con el que comienza y como esa mente inocente se va lavando y moldeando de acuerdo a intereses… lo cruda que es la realidad que a veces no imaginamos, como el honor muchas veces se transforma y como una mente puede llegar a concebir que torturar a un civil puede ser “luchar por tu país”…
Me pasa muy seguido, que hay canciones, que a mi criterio están tan bien escritas, y sincronizadas música y letra, que me hacen visualizar, casi tocar, la escena que describen.
Hoy se me ocurrió compartirlo, crear un mini-relato de lo que una canción o una estrofa me hacen ver y sentir…

Al escuchar este primer párrafo de la canción, se me viene irremediablemente a la mente, la imágen de una noche oscura, fría, sin lluvia… y Él, saliendo del pequeño departamento alquilado, al frío húmedo de la noche, mientras Ella llora recostada en la cama.
Sale y camina lento pero decidido por un callejón oscuro, patea una lata, a lo lejos se oye el rugido de una avenida, Ella sigue llorando, sin fuerzas, sin ganas… El sigue caminando, con rabia, inseguro…

Una excelente, pero excelente canción, aunque quiero destacar principalmente la inocencia del diálogo de los primeros 35 segundos. Me encanta, me fascina, y me recuerda un poco a la parte de Forrest Gump en que Forrest y Jenny (cuándo son niños) están en el campo, atras de la casa de Jenny, dónde vivía con su padre que le pegaba y le piden a dios que la convierta en un pájaro para que pueda escapar volando… no tiene que ver literalmente, pero ambas escenas me representan esa inocencia infantil, mezclada con una amistad muy unida.

Me gusta esta canción y el video me hizo sonreir, así que se gano el mega honor de aparecer publicado en mi blog, chicos de Simple Plan, no tienen que agradecerme… va de onda!
Esta es una de esas canciones que me envician y no puedo parar de escuchar, es larga, bastante larga, unos 19:00, pero te recomiendo ponerla de fondo y escucharla mientras haces otras cosas…

Ayer, luego de mucho tiempo, volví a escuchar algunos tracks que tengo de Simple Plan, y re-encontré esta canción que, me parece, reflexiona sobre temas muy profundos pero que nos detenemos a pensar mucho menos frecuentemente de lo que deberíamos. Sumamente conmovedor tanto el video como la canción.
La canción habla de la locura del mundo en que vivimos, dónde la apariencia y el dinero se están sobrevalorando cada vez más, y cada vez mas se logra que todos gustemos, querramos y consumamos lo que “ellos” quieren que nos guste, lo que “ellos” quieren que querramos y que consumamos lo que “ellos” nos quieren vender.
Vale la pena, detenerse 5 minutos a ver el video, leer y escuchar la letra de la canción, y 5 minutos más a reflexionar en lo que dice.
